WELCOME TO OUR SITE!
The project is directed to the professional
diploma students specialized in special education aiming at
developing their courses. This post graduate diploma was
established so as to graduate teachers who work in special
diploma schools, kindergarten and school administration. Study
in this special diploma began in the academic year 1989/1990
with three sections: special education, kindergarten and school
administration. There were other sections which were
established: Technology, psychological counseling and curriculum
planning. Later technology and kindergarten sections were
cancelled. In this way the special diploma in Assiut Faculty of
Education contained four sections: special education,
psychological counseling, curriculum planning and school
administration.

special diploma since it was established till the academic
year 2003/2004 was 15 groups. Besides, students of special
education represented a great number compared with the total
number of the professional education students in the other
sections or specialties since it was established as the
total number of professional diploma students in the
academic year 2004/2005 became 360 students. There were 345
students among them in the special education section and

| OUR GREAT
PURPOSE ! |
|
As for the
nature of the study in the special education section, there has
been no change occurring in the in the syllabuses, their
content, teaching methods and styles or in the followed
evaluation tools with the students of this section since it was
established up till now in spite of the vast and successive
changes occurring in the scientific knowledge and the current
national and international care for those of special educational
needs and the call for the necessity of satisfying their
psychological, educational, social and personal needs and
rehabilitating them professionally and scientifically so as to
become participating members in the development process like
other members in society.
Thereupon this suggested project aims
at reinforcing the strategy of Assiut University and achieving
one of its main objectives which is represented in producing a
highly-qualified product (graduate) who is able to compete in
the work market on both the international and local levels.

 |
The main concern of the project is directed
towards the professional diploma, special education section so
as to serve a great mass of Upper Egypt and also to go with the
international and local concern for those of special needs, dumb
and deaf, so as to make them functioning persons in society and
to make the preparation and qualification of the professional
diploma students (dumb and deaf) go with the international
standards. This enables them to work in the special education
schools, the television, the theatre, or the religious places
and so on. In addition to that the students of this section
represent the highest percent of the total number of students
who applied for special diploma with all its specialties all
over Egypt.
